#183 From Comfortable to Uncomfortable
Dr. Sheila Jackson started at General Motors as a corporate buyer for 15 years and was continually blessed with financial increase through that career. As a new Christian, the process of sanctification showed her to lay down her life, piece by piece, at Jesus’ feet. One day she felt the Holy Spirit prompt her to begin sacrificing the blessings he had given her.
All along her journey, God was teaching Shiela to walk in what some might consider “crazy faith”. Often, God will ask us to sacrifice what makes us comfortable in order to replace it with blessings that yield spiritual fruit. It is in the discomfort of these sacrifices that we meet God at a deep level of surrender and trust.
Dr. Sheila Jackson holds an E.D. in Transformational Leadership and is an ordained Associate Pastor and Chaplain.
