Lisa Steven got pregnant at 17 years old. Now a married mother of three, Lisa co-founded the Hope House in 2003, a successful Colorado-based non-profit as a means to empower disenfranchised young mothers.
One of the most pervasive obstacles for teenage mothers is generational poverty. Another issue all teenage mothers face, despite race, location or socioeconomic background, is judgment.
Believers, we cannot speak out of both sides of our mouth. If we are going to advocate for teenage mothers to keep their babies, we must provide them with resources, a village, and the love of Christ.
